A individual indicted with pursuing Kate McCann reportedly left her a recorded message which asked: "imagine I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who a jury heard has consistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are standing trial indicted with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the court heard call records and evidence retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during that period.

Another voicemail, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm fat and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What then? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.

The jury was told that by means of emails, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with Leicestershire Police who collated the evidence, advised the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a relationship online with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in December 2024.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out via communication app to Mrs McCann to express the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she ought to be considered genuine in the period preceding the appearance to that location, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court heard correspondence between the two accused, in that autumn, planning attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.
