Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering near a well-attended California shoreline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and smashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Footage uploaded online depict the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm trees and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were harmed. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
