Ex-Red Bull boss Horner Reportedly Getting in Touch with Numerous Formula 1 Team Principals
Former Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is reportedly "contacting nearly every team principal" as he seeks a re-entry to Formula 1, as stated by Aston Martin F1 chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is one of the teams that are associated with the former chief.
Cowell stated he had checked the developments with team principal Lawrence Stroll this past Friday at the Marina Bay race.
"It seems like Christian is ringing up pretty much every team owner at the moment," said Cowell.
"I can definitively state there are no plans for the participation of Christian in an operational or investment role in the future."
Other Teams Comment
The US-based squad chief Ayao Komatsu revealed that Horner had "contacted" the American squad but added: "No progress has been made. It is finished."
Alpine top official Steve Nielsen mentioned the team's executive adviser and unofficial chief Flavio Briatore was "long-standing acquaintances" with the former principal.
Nielsen commented: "I don't know what they discuss. What I understand is there are no plans for Christian to arrive at Alpine but this doesn't imply it won't happen."
The Grove-based squad chief James Vowles confirmed that the former Red Bull leader had not contacted them.
"We're very happy with the organization we have and it's effective," the Williams boss said. "There's no cause to modify it."
Historical Information
Horner is free to return F1 by the middle of next year after finalising a separation agreement with his former team on September 22nd.
The veteran motorsport figure was dismissed as Red Bull's chief after the Silverstone race in summer.
Multiple sources at the racing team have revealed the financial arrangement was estimated at €60 million (52 million pounds).
