During a tragic turn of events, a individuals killed at the Heaton Park synagogue attack appears to have been fatally wounded by law enforcement personnel.
Police Announcement Confirms Firearm Injury
The chief constable from the local force stated that the Home Office pathologist has provisionally determined the man succumbed to a gunshot wound.
“Overnight, we have taken advice from the Home Office pathologist before full postmortem examinations scheduled for later today. The Home Office pathologist indicated that preliminary findings show one of the deceased victims would appear to have suffered a wound consistent with a firearm wound.”
Suspect Details
The suspect, Jihad al-Shamie, did not have a gun, and all discharged rounds were by authorized firearms personnel on site.
Authorities think the deceased was part of the group behind the synagogue door trying to stop the assailant from gaining entry.

Names Released
The two victims killed in the attack during the synagogue incident located in Manchester earlier this week had been named as Adrian Daulby, aged 53 and 66-year-old Melvin Cravitz.
These individuals lost their lives when a car was used to ram into the property of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue, before the attacker targeted attendees in a brief violent spree that concluded after police with firearms fired upon him, ending his life near the synagogue entrance.
Additional Injuries
Three others were seriously injured in the violent act on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish year.

Officials think both victims were close together behind the synagogue door, as attendees showed courage to stop the assailant from getting inside.”

Suspect Background
Authorities identified the attacker as Shamie, 35, a British citizen of Syrian origin.
Greater Manchester police reported that three other people – two male suspects and an older female – had been detained “for alleged commission, preparation and instigation of terrorist activities”.
