The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
