The musician's Honest Playlist: Delving into His Favorite Tunes

The track that captured my heart
On a crisp seasonal day, I was home sick at age six. My parent inquired, "You've never heard the Beatles before? She put on Help! the motion picture, following that I played it repeatedly through her music player throughout the day.

The track I perform at sing-alongs
Any Bowie number are enjoyable, such as Fame or Queen Bitch. No one sounds like Bowie, but I love the energy. I recently tried Save Me from Aimee Mann, that made people lose interest, though I loved it.

My initial album purchase
Friends were into Paradise from Coldplay, so I bought Mylo Xyloto from Barnes & Noble. It was during my first LA visit. I wanted to get some music. I bought Coldplay and Thriller on the same day.

The song I inexplicably know every lyric to
My brother possessed Incredibad by Lonely Island on CD. He listened to it repeatedly during drives. As a youth listening to material considered off-limits was really fun.

The perfect gathering tune
This classic from The Emotions because it sounds happy. The rhythm is ideal. It's accessible music, stylish yet complex, therefore fitting for various tastes.

The track I avoid now
As I explored rock music, I loved Guns N' Roses. Initially experiencing Sweet Child O' Mine, I became obsessed, though presently I skip it.

The best song to cover
At present, we musicians play the Only Ones classic. I enjoy that piece.

The song that changed my life
I'm featured in the visual for Guilt Trip by Pup. I portrayed the younger self of the singer. It introduced me to video production. It awakened me to louder music, driving me toward alternative culture.

The emotional track
Belinda Says by Alvvays.

The final farewell track
There's a running gag concerning this idea. I'm not sure if I want it, yet Grizzly Bear's Half Gate.
